After a short intense election campaign where the main parties spared no effort and expense, the newly formed Tendring Green Party helped their candidate Chris Southall to fourth place behind UKIP, The Tories and the Labour Party.
The campaign was fought on a shoe string with the help of Greens from other areas in the eastern Region.
A noteable highlight was the visit to Clacton of the Green party Deputy leader Shahrar Ali resulting in lively debates with voters in the town center.
